On July 30, 2019 at 08h 55min (Moscow time) the spacecraft was successfully launched by the Soyuz-2-1a launch-vehicle from Plesetsk cosmodrome by the personnel of Russian Aerospace Forces for the benefit of the Ministry of Defense.

The launch of Soyuz-2-1a launch-vehicle was performed nominally. That was the third launch of Soyuz-2 from Plesetsk cosmodrome in 2019.

Soyuz-2 launch-vehicle was developed and produced by SRC Progress.

Flight tests of Soyuz-2 space system began at Plesetsk cosmodrome on November 8, 2004. The total number of launches of Soyuz-1a, 1b and 1v is 39.
