RESURS-P №2 Satellite

Resurs-P space system with Resurs-P No2 satellite is designed for high-resolution, detailed wide-swath and hyperspectral optronic imaging of the Earth surface and data downlinking to ground stations for imagery reception, processing and storage on demand of the wide range of customers, such as Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Ministry of Agriculture of Russia (Minselkhos), Federal Service for State Registration, Cadaster and Cartography (Roseestr), Hydrometeorology Department of Russia (Rosgidromet), Fishery Department of Russia (Rosribolovsvo).

Basic performance characteristics of Resurs-P No2 are similar to those of Resurs-P No1.

Resurs-P No2 is equipped with NUKLON research hardware meant for recording of high-energy cosmic rays in the energy range 1012 to 1015 eV.

Resurs-P No2 is equipped with Onboard Radio System for Automatic Identification of Ship.

Resurs-P No2 launch date is December 26, 2014.

Resurs-P space system including Resurs-P satellite was commissioned June 1, 2015.
