April 4, 2014 at 01:02am (msc time) from Guiana Space Center was successfully launched Sentinel-1A satellite by Soyuz-ST designed and manufactured by TsSKB-Progress SRP SRC.

This year it has been the first launch of samara carrier Soyuz-ST from Kourou, while totally it is the seventh launch within the frames of Soyuz in GSC Project.

The European satellite Sentinel-1A is designed for remote sensing of the Earth.

Soyuz-ST Launch Vehicle is tailored to requirements of the Guiana Space Center as regards safety (able to receive AVD telecommand from the Ground Control Center), telemetry (UHF-transmitters having European-type frame) and operating conditions (excess humidity, transportation by sea and etc.).
