Soyuz-2.1a has launched Progress-MS

On December 21, 2015 Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with Progress MS cargo spaceship was launched from Baikonur’s Site No.31 at 11:44 Moscow time.

Soyuz-2.1a middle-class launch vehicle was designed and produced by Progress Space Rocket Centre. The flight of Soyuz-2.1a became the third one in the test cycle. The flight test program foresees four launches of Soyuz in all: the first one took place in 2014, the second one in 2015, one is planned for 2016.

Progress-MS, an updated version of cargo transportation spaceship delivers to the International Space Station approximately 2.5 tons of cargoes, including dry cargo, fuel, water and air. This is the first launch of a new MS series cargo spaceship.
