On March 31, 2016, Soyuz-2.1a integrated launch vehicle launched Progress MS-02 cargoship into space from Baikonur Site No. 31 at 19:23 Moscow time.

This launch completes the flight space program of Soyuz-2.1.a with Progress MS-02 cargo spaceship.

The middle-class launcher Soyuz-2.1a has been designed and manufactured by Space Rocket Centre PROGRESS.

Progress MS-02 renewed cargo spaceship is to deliver 2.5 tons of cargo to the International Space Station, including propellant, air, food, equipment for station maintenance and parcels for the flight crew.
