October 30, 2011 at 14h 11min (msc time) the ProgressM-13M cargo spaceship was placed into orbit by the Soyuz-U launch vehicle from Launch Pad No1 Baikonur cosmodrome (Kazakhstan).
The launch of Progress M-13M cargo spaceship was performed nominally. The Progress M-13M is to bring more than 2.5t of various cargo to the International Space Station. Among the delivered cargo is the Chibis-M small satellite designed to investigate lighting phenomena.
Soyuz-U launch vehicle was designed and manufactured by the TsSKB-Progress Samara Space Center.
