“Progress M-09M” cargo spaceship was performed by Soyuz-U launch vehicle from Launch pad №1 at Baikonur spaceport (Kazakhstan) in January 28, 2011 at 04h 31m 39s Moscow time.

The spaceship is supposed to deliver more than 2,5 tons of Payload to ISS, as well as “Kedr” small spacecraft which will be sent for autonomy flight during astronauts extravehicular activity. The name “Kedr” is not accidental but symbolic. It was Gagarin’s call name during the flight. And the launch of this spacecraft will be one of the events dedicated to 50th anniversary of the first manned flight throughout the world.
