Soyuz-FG has been launched
29 may 2014On the 28th of May, 2014 at 11.57 p.m. (Moscow time) launch of Soyuz-TMA-13M manned spaceship was performed by Soyuz-FG from Gagarincky launch pad in Baykonur cosmodrome.
Soyuz-TMA-13M spaceship will deliver into ISS a crew of 40/41th expedition consisting of Maksim Suraev (Roskosmos)- a crew captain, Reid Wiseman (NASA) and Alexander Gerst (ESA) – flight engineers.
Soyuz-FG launcher was developed and produced at SRC Progress. An additional symbol of national emblem of Amurskaya Region was stuck on the launcher body. It was made in honor of 750 anniversary of the Region and in support of the Vostochny cosmodrome which is under construction now. In 2015 it is planned to perform the first launch and the first carrier which will be launched from the cosmodrome will be Soyuz-2.
